After the Solemn Mass on Palm Sunday, the Hall was full for a soup lunch held in aid of our Lenten Charities – Caritas and Aid to the Church in Need.  Many thanks to the Farrell family whose initiative it was and to all who helped make the delicious soups ( three or four varieties!) cakes and puddings and who did the washing up!! (see the Gallery for the answer!)  Thank you all.  We look forward to the next lunchtime gathering.

Our Parish Shop was doing a roaring trade too, on two sites. Anita King and Brenda Duncan had a 50p card stall in the main hall, making £25.

Mrs Duncan has been an active member of the Sacred Heart family for many years, and while people often retire to Bournemouth, Brenda is, in fact moving away to Birmingham,. She will be living close to the Oratory in Edgbaston, where her son Richard  is a member of the community.  God go with you Brenda!

You will be much missed here at the Sacred Heart.
